OAO LUKOIL is a recognized leader of the Russian petroleum industry in the field of oil exploration, production, refining and petroleum product marketing.

OAO LUKOIL was set up on the basis of a petroleum concern founded in 1991 that consolidated oil producing companies located in the Western Siberia cities of Langepas, Urai and Kogalym. The name of the Company was made up of the initial letters of these cities.

LUKOIL is one of the world’s major oil companies in terms of oil reserves and production volumes. The Company adheres to a principle "from a wellhead – down to a gas station" meaning that it produces and refines oil, and sells the petroleum products on retail and wholesale basis.

The increase of final product volumes and their sales on local and foreign markets is one of the Company’s top priorities.

As of today, the Company incorporates some of the best oil refineries of Russia located in the cities of Volgograd, Perm, Nizhni Novgorod and Ukhta.

The Company is guided by customer interests and produces a wide rage of lubricants and oils (luboils) that meet the most-up-to-date international requirements in terms of performance properties and classes of viscosity. LUKOIL can offer oils both for the last generation motor vehicles and cars of any trade name with high degree of engine wear.
